My Dad was 1SG HHC 1/61 61-64. I was back 10 years later 72-75 at TAMC. Loved it both times but the island starts to get small after about a year. Planning to? go back and visit this year.

i have friends that live in schofield 1 lives by a graveyard 4 live by burger king ... and others live near stores parks and graves ME and MY FRIENDS think soloman sucks so we go wahiawa they're lucky they take a bus i need? 2 walk it takes 30 mins to walk bcuz i live in wahiawa

this is the 3rd ...
this is the 3rd time we are stationed in Hawaii. You can see the whole island basically in few days. Living here is great if you have new housing. We live in Ewa Beach? where we rent a house. Never lived on Schofield.They dont have anything to give for the families!!! Downfall all you do is go to the beach.Shopping is limited here.We always come back for the weather and for me its home!!

I know a couple soldiers from AIT that I met a few years ago that got stationed there. AHHH man that would be awesome! But seriuosly what are the chances of going there? Seriuosly.? F quad C/65CEB? 81-84...3-4 man rooms and a gang latrine that was there "from here to eternity" days...9 mos. a yr in the field or deployed...BEST damn unit I ever served w/ in 7 yrs...except maybe 2ID @ camp castle ROK....hahaha..that was a well kept secret back then...ft bragg sucked and campbell was even WORSE..thk god for Korea...lol..my hat is off to you young folks that can take it to the enemy right now...THANK YOU for your your service!!!

I was stationed at Schofield Barracks, was pretty awsome. When I arrived to HI, I thought my orders said Fort Shafter(which was near Honolulu)? but oh no, all the way to Schofield, but it was all good.

Fort Shafter is NOT ther oldest Army BASE on? the island. Fort Shafter is NOT an Army BASE. Fort Shafter is an Army POST! The US Army does not refer to it's installations (in the usa) as a base.

Damn, I miss the island. My father was stationed on Schofield Bks. from 89 to a few months shy of 93. I loved living there. Wish we had the modern? housing, though. LOL!!
